When a young man, I worked for The Croydon Advertiser as a drama stringer and general reporter. I also published various articles and poems in the local press in South London.
Throughout my acting career, I have written plays and screenplays, on my own and with co-writers; I wrote the Central TV series Luna with Colin Bennett. This has attracted a small (but perfectly formed) cult following: (http://luna.randomstatic.net/)
During the eighties, I was represented by Linda Seifert.
In recent years, I have been writing with Gabrielle Drake, and we have completed a new stage play Dancing With Ghosts. Gabrielle and I are represented by Richard Ireson at The Narrow Road Company (see front page) for our stage and screen writing.
I have written three works of fiction under the pen-name of Charles Wickens:
The Diary of an Unfortunate Man, a short 40,000 word modern take on The Diary of a Nobody.
Down to Go Up Again, a 60,000 word novel for young adults
What I Done in the Blitz, a 100,000 novel for adults.
I am looking for somebody to represent me as a fiction writer (Richard deals with TV, film and theatre only).
